Journey Undestined...

Posted by eShan

When I think about my country, I feel guilty these days. Its now very well known that not a single leader in this country feels responsible for the country and the countrymen. Everyone is filled up with reservation for personal status growth, family benefits, personal desires, and so on. Prachanda, whom I considered as a revolutionary hero suited to this country, has not been able to prove his words. His nature to be close to all and good to all, to be a charismatic leader has outweighed his importance in the process of gaining back the prestige of Nepal. The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) now considers India its closest ally, and has thrown the unfair treaties-files somewhere in the dark. A successful leader and a successful party must be able to do things crossing the hurdles rather than stating that there are hurdles. Hurdles are everywhere, but hurdles matters there where people knee down before the hurdles. From time undefined, only those men have been able to mention their name in the history-profile who have thrashed down the barriers and not those who complain about them.

However, this is not the disease of leaders. Leaders come from among us, and must have therefore derived those attitudes from the society and the people. Everyone is corrupt; only a journalist appears to be uncorrupt, however only because nobody propagandise it because journalist is the Supreme of propagandisation, who can excel him. There is democracy, and everybody is taking it as per they want. For a labourer, democracy means raging war against the boss, democracy for students means making the teacher and college administrators kneel down before their uncountable demands, democracy for civil service staffs means leaving idle in the office-time and making unions that would counter balance the boss if some actions are taken upon him/her. And Discipline has its own views among people. For company-chiefs, college teachers-administrators, government officers, discipline means ignoring the genuine demands. And this is the problem, making the country's journey undestined.
